Every year after I take down all our Christmas decorations I have the urge to change things up and start fresh. This year was no exception. I moved some furniture around and pulled some plants back to this space and it really feels new again. I like to do that when I’m feeling blah about our house or when there is a change in seasons. Just moving a few things around big or small can make things feel fresh again.
This year though after all the extra décor came down I decided I was going to sprinkle in some Valentines décor. I used to decorate for Valentines day but after having 3 more kids I just got away from doing it.
I kept it very simple in here. I took down the frame wall I had going on in here and just kept one and added this cute heart garland from Target (HERE) as well as some string lights, two pieces of yarn that I had laying around and some pink velvet ribbon. Super simple but festive nonetheless. Its no secret that I LOVE pink so I just pulled in a few different pink pillows to add to the vibe and moved in this vintage daybed for something different.
I hope this inspires you to add a little Valentines into your home after all your Christmas décor is down. And just in case you were wondering out of the blue the other day Jordan told me that he likes the sprinkles of pink we have going on in our home. I asked if I could record him saying that and he of course said NO haha. But don’t feel bad for him. We have three boys and they have the basement….for now!
Thanks for stopping by.
