Happy Easter! Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.1 Peter 1:3
What a beautiful day to gather family and friends around the table and celebrate all that God has done for us in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. This year is a little different but we are so thankful none the less.
With Michigan extending our stay at home order we are now celebrating Easter with just us and we are making the most of it. I have filled the kids’ basket, filled the plastic eggs with goodies for their egg hunt, made carrot cake and set our Easter table. I always try and make Holidays special for the kids, even if they could care less how pretty our table looks. To me the most important thing is making the time we share gathered around the table time well spent and a time where we make lots of good memories.
I decided to be resourceful and use what I had for décor. I picked up some organic carrots to garnish our plates with and was able to pick up some fresh flowers and ferns from the grocery store. I found these old mason jars at a yard sale a few years back and they have been sitting in basement since so I was happy to finally pull them out and make good use out of them. I also already had these napkins from a few years ago from Target.
It is no secret that I love a good thrift store or garage/estate sale. I picked up this cutie bunny from an estate sale a few years back as well.
These bunnies I purchased this year on Clearance from Pottery Barn and just tonight my daughter and I used Rub and Buff on them in European Gold to give them a vintage feel. I love how they turned out and they look so cute on our table.
Happy Easter to you and your family from ours.
