I did this DIY last Summer when we were making some changes to the exterior of our home. I knew I wanted copper lights but I was not willing to spend $350-650 (per light). So, I got creative and decided to try and make some myself.
I found these $99 lights from Menards and instantly loved the shape of them. They were not the color I wanted so I decided I was going to order two of them and spray paint them the copper/black two tone that I loved from Rejuvenation.
I grabbed this Rust oleum spray paint in the color “aged copper” and a matte black for the gooseneck.
To be sure I did not overspray I used painters tape which worked really well. I actually sprayed the gooseneck first before I sprayed the hood.
After (we had French doors added and extended this concrete porch area too)
All in all this project was less than an hour to do both lights and about $215 for Two lights. Hope you enjoyed this amazing dupe.
