 for all those who believe
there's beauty in simplicity

let's collaborate

I am so glad you’re here. I’m Ali, the face behind Mustard Seed Beginnings. My Husband, Jordan, and I live in a small country town in West Michigan. We have 3 boys (10, 8, 4) and a daughter (18).

This little corner of the internet is my creative outlet where I take you along all my DIY home projects, Home design, Gardening adventures and thoughtful insights into our life + faith.

We moved into a new home back in October 2023 and have been working on creating a space that is uniquely our own. Ali has been once again reminded that home takes time. The process of creating a space that is is functional, designed well, and timeless happens little by little.

Back in July of 2023 I decided to pursue my love of Interior Design. Creating spaces that hold family memories is such a gift and honor. When I am designing a special place for a client, I think about the friends and family that will gather there and memories that will be made in those spaces. If you are like me, you probably remember the sofas that your grandma read you books on. Those are the types of things I think about. Creating purposeful spaces for families to enjoy and weaving in beauty, function, and design.

About Ali

Everyday I am learning the importance of simplicity and living full of intention. Real life is truly lived in the in- between seasons: Where life is imperfect but we choose to create a beautiful life for ourselves and those around us. To not allow the imperfections to shadow all the beautiful moments life has to offer.

I hope you know you are welcome here- just as you are. I am truly so glad you are here. Join me as I share about Design, DIY, Faith, and Motherhood.

Welcome!

I love the fresh air when sitting outside
to gather my thoughts and write in my journal.
