DIY Brick Floors ❤️ We took a common historic material and laid it in a special pattern to really impact this tiny space. Since we made the entryway smaller I really wanted to make sure it was extra special. Brick is about $10 a sq ft which a very affordable option when it comes to flooring. It cost us less than $800 in materials to do this entire floor (tool rental included + material dump Included). I took several weeks from removal to finish but I love the impact the brick gives and knowing that it will hold up to our kids + dog and snowy Michigan winters! #diy #diyhomedecor #diyrenovation #bhghome #cottagecore

My DIY French door Hardware is on and it feels so good!! This hardware from @hrlbrass is heirloom quality and has really made these doors look custom (don’t tell anyone their bi folds) 😉
Hardware can truly change up a space and make it something special. We did modify these because they are actually intended for cabinets. we drilled a larger hole in the center of the brass backplate and grabbed a smaller screw so that the backplate was flush against the screw. And we could just pre drill and use 4 crews to secure the entire knob on the French doors. What do you think!? I’ve never been so anxious for garden season and warm days full of sunshine like I have been the last few weeks. I started planning my cut garden this year and am changing things up. DIY Patio transformation!! To ensure my paint would adhere I used a concrete bonder and then added my base layer of paint. Then I took a 24” tile from Lowe’s and traced out my Diamond pattern. It was so simple! I used painters tape to tape off my lines row by row and painted my diamond pattern a dark taupe. 1. Pick 1 statement ( mine was wallpaper)
2. Thrift and get creative with what you have. I thrifted this mirror and instead of replacing the old vanity I drilled some cottage style air vents in them and gave it a fresh coat of paint.
3. The power of Paint goes a long way!!
