Boys Bedroom Refresh
I love that my boys share a room. I’m sure one day when they are older they wont want to share but for now, they love it. I have been working on their room here and there but its never really been “done”. Like most things in our house its a gradual process and I do things when inspiration strikes. It was important to me that their room was a space that would grow along with them and wouldn’t be to “baby” in a few years. I have rushed spaces before and ended up hating them shortly after.
Anyways. I bought these matching Ikea duvet covers last year as well as these matching bed frames from Amazon. We painted the accent wall Hale Navy by BM and repainted the white walls, ceiling, trim and closest doors in White Dove by BM we also replaced their “boob” light with a more modern school house light also from Amazon. (All products are linked at the end of this post).
Recently though I added this gallery wall of all their art from home and school and framed in these RIBBA Ikea frames. I love these frame because they are both affordable and look great.
We also added this book wall for easy access to their books and I got these adorable floor cushions from Tweed, a local to me children’s boutique.
Simple changes at minimal cost but it really made a big impact.

Love the way this room looks! Are the light on the headboards from IKEA? I believe I have the same ones that I just recently purchased, however, I can’t find the right bulbs for them. If these are from IKEA, can you please tell me where you got the bulbs from….thank you so much!!

Thank you so much! Yes, they are from Ikea and I found the bulbs from our local hardware store but I have seen them at target as well. Hope that helps.

Hi Sue, These are from a local Kids Store called “Tweed Baby Outfitters”. I have seen similar cushions on Etsy.
Are you sure these beds are the ones linked? I’ve been looking for the rounded edged bed frames for ages and can only find square ones. Even the link in the post goes to squared frames. Let me know!

I loved this look and searched for the bedframes. I found the best ones at Walmart.com theyre in 3 different colors including bronze. We purchased black ones and their weight and look were better than what.we imagined at the price. Better Homes & Garden Kelsey bed
