Detox Bath Recipes and Bath time Favs

I LOVE a good bath. Its no secret that I can easily stay in the bath for an hour plus. After a long day of homeschool its my reward and something I count down the hours to.

Anything that I can do to benefit my health while I enjoy a good soak is a win win in my book. Today I am going to share a few of my favorite detox bath recipes as well as my most loved bubbles, salts and accessories for the bath.

Detox Bath Recipe #1

1 CUP Epsom Salt (here)

1 Cup Baking soda (here)

10-15 drops of Lavender Essential oil ( I use Revive)

Its important to mention that when you soak in a detox bath that you WILL sweat! If you sweating like crazy – its working! Your body is flushing out all the toxins. Be sure to drink lots of extra water and soak for a least 30 mins but if you’ve never soaked in a detox bath you might want to start at 15 min.

Detox Recipe #2

1/2 Cup Baking Soda

1/4 cup Sea Salt

1/2 Cup Epsom Salt

1/4 cup Bentonite Clay

Add real or battery candles to create a relaxing atmosphere and I used dried strawflowers and rose petals for fun!

I try to do soak in a detox bath once a week!

Benefits of Detoxing the Body

Whether you are aware or not there are toxins everywhere. They are in the food you eat, the air you breath, the things you wear, make up you buy, shampoo/shower gels and so much more. They are literally everywhere. Our bodies are not meant to be weighed down with the amount of toxins that are in our everyday lives. To rid your body from these toxins that can wreck havoc on your overall health and wellbeing you need to detox. There are so many benefits to detoxing your body. Here are just a few:

Removes excess water retention and excess waste

Boosts immune response
