I recently found this adorable planter that I instantly fell in love with at one of my favorite Home Boutiques. After I grabbed it with full intention of purchasing it- I realized it was $80. Now, if something is SUPER unique and I know I will keep it for years and years I don’t mind spending the money but I knew I could easily recreate it myself and save myself $65.
I headed to Hobby Lobby to pick up my supplies. I ended up getting two bags of these half round wooden balls to see what size I liked more and ended up using the larger ones. I also grabbed this pot there. I spent $15 (yay for 50% off).
I took my favorite construction adhesive and with help from Grayson we glued the wooden balls onto the top of my planter.
I allowed my wooden balls to dry for several hours before adding spackling. I really wanted to create a “pottery” or “handmade” look and this is really a great way to achieve that.
