Picking Michigan Peaches and a Healthy Peach Dessert

It’s that time in Michigan again where the Peaches are ripe and Harvest is plenty. The boys and I recently went to Square Nail Farms to pick some Fresh Peaches and it’s something we look forward to doing each year. Peaches, Cherries, Apples, Blueberries – we love picking them all.

The joy and excitement on the kids face when they see where something is grown, pick it and taste it is priceless. The wonder of children is so inspiring and sometimes I sure wish I could go back and take everything in as a child again.

After picking up of fresh peaches we decided we needed to make something special – Healthy Cinnamon Baked Peaches!

We took 4 peaches and cut them in half removing the pit and laid them in a 9×13 pan. We sprinkled some cinnamon, sea salt and a small slice of butter on each peach half and baked them at 350 degrees for 15 min. With a big scoop of vanilla bean ice cream- it was the perfect dessert for Summer.
