When we first moved into our house the Laundry was actually in the basement. As our family grew, luging laundry up and down three floors with three became quite the chore. Our Entryway was an addition from the 80s and it's actually quite spacious for a house built in the 40s. We had two huge closet that were not my favorite. They had dark pretend wood bifolds that half the time wouldn't open and since they were dark they really closed in the space. One of the closets turned into a bench ...
Sourdough Pancakes
For the past few years I have been making all things sourdough. We absolutely LOVE these sourdough pancakes - well actually anything sourdough we are all for but these pancakes are truly amazing, moist and so fluffy. When I am making these I always make a double batch and store them in the refrigerator for a quick breakfast. We heat them up in the toaster for a quick breakfast on a School day. Sourdough Pancakes Add Together: 1 cup Sourdough Starter 2 Tablespoons Sugar 1 1/2 ...
The Journey to Homeschool
For the past year or more I have really felt God tugging on my heart to Homeschool. I started praying about in during all the madness of 2020 and in small and big ways God made the Homeschool Path clear for our Family. Honestly though, I never had homeschool in my Future plans. Where is your Jericho
Hello Friends, It has been almost 5 months since I have blogged. Today I wanted to talk about the Battle of Jericho and what God has been showing me through it. You can find the Story of Jericho in the Old Testament in the Book of Joshua. The Book of Joshua begins with Joshua coming ...
Paper Gingerbread Garland
After we made the 2D gingerbread houses for the boys' room (HERE) I had this idea to make garland. This time I wanted the "icing" to actually LOOK like icing and not just paint. I originally tried just glue thinking if I kept it thick it would dry more 2d and raised. This failed and ended up looking awful. I headed to the craft store to see about some fabric glue and that is actually what worked the best. It did take hours for it to fully dry but it was well worth the ...
Organized Art Cupboard
It is no secret that we are a big DIY/Craft Family. My kids love to "do Art" and are constantly doing something creative. I knew I really needed to get our Art supplies organized and under control when it started spilling out of every nook and cranny of storage we had. I had stored our markers/colored pencils/pens etc. in plastic bags that would either 1. break or 2. would no longer be separated because the kids wouldn't put things back correctly. My Mother in Law gave me this old Antique ...
